This current set of pieces embodies how I contextualized the worst parts of my childhood through the lenses of being a child. I could not fully understand the things that were happening to me at the time, and I could only process that pain through my juveinile mind. Children often process this through play and how they make up stories as well as what they chose to seek out. These paintings are my way of accepting that I did the best I could at the time. The motifs I used were littlest pet shop dolls as well as anime girls. Those two things seem random, but to me, they were emblematic of my grief as a child.
